Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Q: Itchy breasts with Severely Peeled/Bleeding Skin

At 17, I've had itchy breasts for a few years right now but it would come and go so I never mentioned it and just changed lotions and detergents routinely. However, they've turned for the worst now and the skin of the areola has peeled off both breasts by themselves and there's a somewhat milky substance there now along with bleeding. This hasn't ever happened before and from the smell and look of it, they seem to be infected but I have no idea on how to deal with it. Help?

Rena, stop using any kind of lotion because you might have an allergy to one of the ingredients.  Since your symptoms are on both breasts and you have been having skin issues on your breasts for a long time, it is highly unlikely that this would be cancer related.  However, since your home remedies haven't worked, it sounds like it is time to let a doctor take a look.
