Monday, August 11, 2008 Helen asks

Q: I'm taking BP meds & estrogen I have symtoms such as tounge rash, dizziness and jaw pain.

My question is these combination of medication seems to relate motely to the symtoms I'm experiencing the tounge rash, swelling, dizziness, attitude changes and GI problems, flatulence, reflux in short I'm mentally and physically exhausted.  the medication list is as follows.

Micardis HCT 80/25

Premarin 0.625

Atenolol 100mg

Cardzem 180

I'm also PCKD since 1997; kidney function is great; in touch with my nephrologist every 6 months.   What or which medication can be causing my symtoms?

Hi Helen: This is a breast cancer site, and we're not doctors, so I don't think we can help you. My advice would be to take that list of meds to your PCP, and have him or her go over it with you to make sure there aren't any you shouldn't be taking at the same time. And then to try to get to the bottom of your problem. Good luck - PJH
