Shayla, your chance of having breast cancer, at age 17, is statistically 0%. I'd say this is part of puberty. Your breasts are changing, growing, and your hormones are circulating more. All of this could cause some soreness and itchiness in your breasts. If it becomes very uncomfortable, please see a doctor; there may be some medication you can take to make this journey through puberty a bit less painful. Also, if it's just ONE breast botheirbotheringng you, see a doctor; could be an infection, or something that needs quick treatment. Good luck - PJH

My boobs have hurt me badly especially when you push in at the nipple since I have been 8 years old! I get relief from tight bras and holding and putting a light squeeze on them. Every one says my boobs are probably getting bigger but I have been a B since 6th grade and now I'm a senior I am also 17 years old. I know how you feel; i feel your pain...literally =[

Hi - I think you'll find this pain will abate as you get older. Young women such as yourself often suffer from fibrocystic change, which can be quite uncomfortable. Luckily, if often gradually goes away as you age. Still, you might want to ask your doctor about this; s/he might be able to give you some medicaiton to help with this pain and tenderness. Good luck - PJH
