Been cancer free for 6 years. Never a problem with mammogram, this time they are questioning whether it is scar tissue.

Lori, this may be scar tissue that happened at the time of the lumpectomy, but has somehow been hidden all this time, and now - whether because you've gained or lost a little weight, or your body is changing in some way - has appeared. I assume they're going to investigate further; I've known women with a questionable mammogram, and thoughts that it might be scar tissue, to go as far as having a biopsy; and indeed it's turned out to be scar tissue. So please don't stress too much over this; but DO continue to go through the process until they find out for sure what they're seeing. Good luck - PJH
