Q: pains in breast and ribs

I have lately been having a lot of pain in the breast that the cancer was taken from it seems to be the tissue plus some pains in what seems to be the ribs or under the rib bones that extend around my chest this is not heart pains I have worked on cardiac floor for many years and I am pretty certain this is not what I am feeling ... any one had this??  I am seriously afraid to go to the doctor which I am pretty certain will be what I get told to do here.. I know I need to but just looking for a little reasurrance before I go that I am going to be ok.

Hi - I had a lot of rib pain at one point, and of course expected the worst. Turned out to be a later effect of radiation; it actually has a name, which escapes me at the moment... Anyway, it faded with time and that was several years ago and I'm FINE, so hoping it turns out the same for you (if you had radiation)! Think positively, and good luck - PJH
