Unfortunately, breast cancer can strike at any age, right down to pre-puberty. But thankfully, it's basically an older women's disease. I'm sorry about your friend; that's tough... Just shows we all need to be aware of breast changes, and get anything that's worrisome checked out. No matter what our age. AND keeping in mind that the younger you are, the less likely you are to have breast cancer. PJH
