Sorry, I didn't see your entire question first time around. Most nipple discharge is NOT from cancer. However, between the lumps, the pain, the family history, and the discharge, I think the doctors are being extra-careful. You're incredibly young to worry about breast cancer; statistically speaking, breast cancer is pretty unheard-of at age 26. But - you're doing all the right things by getting checked out. Take it one step at a time; and try not to worry too much, because the stats are definitely with you. Good luck - PJH
