Q: Clear discharge from left breast ....." mammo and ultrasound results were negative so a ductogram

was done which demonstrated a midly ectatic centrally located , duct leading to an apparent 2 mm , filling defect approximately 2.7 cm from the duct orifice " now what does that mean ? Is my only option ito go have surgery ductectomy ?

Dear confused - IN GENERAL, a clear discharge from you nipple doesn't denote cancer. Not sure what all the medicalese means, but if I were you I'd ask your doctor to explain. Don't let them brush you off or talk down to you - just keep at them till they tell you 1) what your report means in plain English, and 2) what you need to do about it (if anything). -PJH
