Hi: I had a 1 inch lump with aggresive cancer, first Dr. told me that I only needed Radiation therapy, but latter after 1 month he told me that I needed chemptherapy. Frist of all, you need to be confident in the Lord, that He is in control of your life and in everything!. Second, your ATTITUDE will be a Big help in your therapy! If you has a positive and optimistic attitude, you will pass all better than a negative posture. Everything will pass thru, everything.... in no time, you will be getting out of all this "scary" time. You will need to write every question down, because with the normal stress in our situation, our mind tends to forget all! Don't be afraid to ask, Drs. are there for us, ASK! There will time that you won't want to eat, but times that you will. Side effects are almost the same to everyone.... constipation, nauseas, fatigue, bone pain (after your next day chemo shot). But this will pass after three or four days. Try to eat what you want, and don't cout calories please! Eat wherever you like! I liked to eat potatoes or mashed potatoes. Caldo de res (mexican beef soup with vegetables), or gorditas with refried beens! Humm! And as soon that you can imagine, you will be finish your treatment. Be strong for your love ones, and if you want to cry, cry, that relives the pressure! although your will have a head ache and your eyes will be red. I'll pray for you. With love, Adriana
