Have you ruled out lymphedema, Peggie? That's what it sounds like to me; lymphedema can take many different forms... If your oncologist (or better yet, a qualified lymphedema specialist in PT) has ruled out lymphedema, then I'd suggest you ask your oncologist what else might be causing this, OK? Hope it disappears soon! PJH

Yes, radiation can cause problems years later, but I agree with PJ that you want to check with your doctor to see if you have any lymphedema.  If that is what it is getting it under control quickly is important.  If this pain just started in the last day or two, you could do some watchful waiting to see if it gets better on its own, but don't wait too long to check in with your doctor.

Thanks Ladies, Once again!

I went to the doc, and they did the test on me with the finger to foot machine that tests for lymphadema. They did not notice any change. I had to let my rings out at the jeweler, so I KNOW that there is a slight change. It seems my inner upper arm, on the inside of my elbow is swollen. But the docs see nothing wrong. I tell them it hurts, I have pain, and it feels heavy and swollen. But the doc says, nothing seems to be swollen, at least not enough for a compression sleeve. He says to "take it easy on the arm". Hmm...thanks?

I guess this is something I have to keep an eye on. No pushing or pulling exercises for now, or forever, but I am still doing the pilates. Hugs ladies, Thanks so much.

Peggie, have you talked with a physical therapist who specializes in lymphedema? In my experience, the PT folks dealing with it every day are more informed and a better resource than the docs, for whom it's a peripheral issue... PJH
