Mastectomy vs. Lumpectomy: My doctor says it is up to me...what should be my guide in this decision?

My doctor says my treatment option is up to me, and it is from the very least, a lumpectomy + radiation and Chemo, or a mastectomy + chemo.... What info can help me make a good decision? I don't want a recurrence, and because I am so young, this is a possiblilty...
