Q: I have a painful bump on my nipple that hurts when my clothes touch it. Do you know what it is?

Hi - Sounds like it could be an infected milk duct, but you'd need a doctor to give you an informed diagnosis. Please read our post on nipple issues to learn what to do about it—whether you should call the doctor now, or wait awhile and see what happens. Good luck - PJH

I have a bump near my nipple and a bubble on top of it that hurts.  Do you know what that is?

Sounds like a minor infection or a clogged oil gland. Keep your eye on it - if it gets worse; or if it doesn't get better in a few weeks, best to see the doctor, OK? Good luck - PJH

I have a small painful bum9 on my left nipple that hurt amd was bleeding the other day

Hi - This could be a simple skin irritation; or perhaps the equivalent of a facial pimple. There are oil glands all around your nipple and, like the oil glands around your nose, they can get infected, swell up, and become painful. Try to wear loose clothing (perhaps a camisole instead of a bra for awhile); a warm compress might help, as well. If this doesn't disappear (or show signs of disappearing withing a few days; and especially if it seems to be getting worse, please see a doctor; you might be dealng with an infection that needs professional treatment.
