Hi - Sounds like it could be an infected milk duct, but you'd need a doctor to give you an informed diagnosis. Please read our post on nipple issues to learn what to do about it—whether you should call the doctor now, or wait awhile and see what happens. Good luck - PJH

Sounds like a minor infection or a clogged oil gland. Keep your eye on it - if it gets worse; or if it doesn't get better in a few weeks, best to see the doctor, OK? Good luck - PJH

Hi - This could be a simple skin irritation; or perhaps the equivalent of a facial pimple. There are oil glands all around your nipple and, like the oil glands around your nose, they can get infected, swell up, and become painful. Try to wear loose clothing (perhaps a camisole instead of a bra for awhile); a warm compress might help, as well. If this doesn't disappear (or show signs of disappearing withing a few days; and especially if it seems to be getting worse, please see a doctor; you might be dealng with an infection that needs professional treatment. Take care - PJH
