I had a miscarriage and lost 2 pints of blood back in may 2009. This is the 1st period I have ever missed with out being pregnant. My period was due on October 17,2009. Should I take the Provera or wait a little longer?

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. We are a breast cancer site and don't have expertise in birth control. Before you take the Provera, I think it would be a good idea to call your doctor and explain the situation.
