Is there any research to show that Arimidex treats nonestrogen receptive breast cancer?

My mother was initially diagnosed with DCIS. After her first surgery her margins were not clear and she was diagnosed with microinvasive cancer and had a second surgery to remove some lymphnodes. Her medical oncologist wants her to take Arimidex which from my understanding treats hormone positive…
