Not at all, Abby - whether or not a breast lump hurts has nothing to do with whether or not it's cancer. ALL breast lumps should be taken seriously; that said, the vast majority are nothing to worry about. But that said, if this is a lump that doesn't come and go in synch with your period, you should have a doctor check it out, OK? Good luck - PJH

Small lump under armpit. hurts.?

I felt fine this morning then later on it started to hurt a little under my armpit. to be exact its right under where the hair stops growing under your arm. Also, it is a reddish in color on the outside of the lump.  it hurts. it hurts a little worse than it did. It hurt to the touch and it feels like a small lump. it hurts to touch and it hurts if i move my arm like against my body and stuff. I have also been having real bad headaches, my head hurst so bad too, don't know if this is related or not, it is something serious. what do you think??  Please  help me, but I'm call my doctor today (02/06/09).
