Sana, if this lump and pain are something that come and go with your menstrual cycle, they're probably a condition called fibrocystic change. If the lump remains the same throughout your cycle, then you should get it examined by a doctor. While the vast majority of breast lumps are NOT cancer, you need to rule it out. Be aware that breast cancer is nearly always painless, so if you're feeling a painful lump that grows during your menstrual cycle, it's almost certainly a cyst, a fibroadenoma, or some other non-cancer issue.
