Q: hello, im worried about a skin discolration on the right side of my breast and under my armpit..its been there for years!ive been doing self breast exam, so far no signs of any cancer.no lumps.
Hi Lilly - Since your skin has been this way for years, it wouldn't have anything to do with cancer. Have you ever asked your doctor about it? If you have a yearly physical, you probably have your breasts examined, right? Next time, ask your doctor what s/he thinks caused this discoloration; just for interest's sake, it might be nice to know. But as far as breast cancer goes - unless it changes (your breast seems infected – red, hot, swollen, painful, itchy; or you feel a lump), then I wouldn't worry about it – cancer changes and grows, and it doesn't sound like this discoloration is doing that.
