Rabia, your biopsy showed that you have some cells that are very slighly abnormal, and MIGHT someday develop into breast cancer. The chance of that happening is low; most likely, the hyperplasia will just remain the way it is. Nevertheless, there are things you can do to lower your risk of breast cancer.

First, make sure to maintain a healthy weight; being overweight is a proven breast cancer risk. Eat a healthy, lower-fat diet. Drink no more than 1 alcoholic beverge a day; the fewer, the better. And exercise; it helps you in SO many ways, and lowering your risk of breast cancer is one of them.

Being pregnant actually lowers your risk of breast cancer, as well, as it lowers your circulating estrogen for awhile; and estrogen feeds certain types of breast cancer.

I'd agree with your doctor; please try not to worry too much about getting cancer. It's highly unlikely, and once you make all the positive lifestyle changes you can, there's nothing more you can do about it other than move forward. Best of luck - PJH
