Q: I just have sharp pains in my left nipple.No lumps.Just pain.What could this be

Hi - This could be a hormonal issue, or a nerve issue. Unless the pain is accompanied by other symptoms - for instance, if your breast seems infected (red, hot, swollen, itchy); or if you have a fever, it doesn't sound like a cancer symptom.

 

Please read our post on breast pain, and our post on nipple issues. I think those will help you decide whether/when to see a doctor about this pain. Good luck - PJH
