Sunny, if your mother has gone through the various tests that would lead to a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis (mammogram, biopsy, pathology report), then I'd hope and believe the doctor ordering those tests would then follow up with a referral to an oncologist, who can develop a treatment plan. Treatment might include surgery, chemotherapy, perhaps radiation, and probably long-term hormone drug treatment with an aromatase inhibitor, or similar drug.
Ask your MIL if she's heard anything about either a referral to an oncologist, or a plan for treating her cancer. If not, then you do need to push things ahead. We're not familiar with medical facilities in the Philippines, but perhaps you could start by contacting the medical centers listed above, and ask them for information about what's available in your particular area. Best of luck to you both - I hope she gets her treatment started soon. PJH
