Hi - I'm sorry for your torubles, Gautam. I'll try to answer, but your questions are a bit confusing, and also enter areas that only her doctor/medical facility can answer. First, EPR: this could be short for "estrogen/progeserone receptive," which influence whether or not your wife  would have long-term hormone drug therapy. If she's ER/PR positive, she could benefit by taking drugs after treatment.

As for chemo: believe me, there've been a lot of advances in chemo in the 3 years since your wife last had it. She may have a much easier experience this time. There's no telling what kind she'll have (price, duration, side effects, etc.); you're right, only after the operation will that be decided. So I can't help you there.

And afterwards, she should try to live a healthy lifestyle, in order to heal well. Healthy diet, exercise, no smoking, minimal alcohol. It sounds boring, but really, there's no quick fix for recovering from cancer and chemo. It takes time and diligence.

I wish you both well- PJH
