Q: my sister in law wants to know if her grandma who is going thru therapy holds her daughter will that give her daughter any type of radiation? Is it ok for her to hold the baby?

If her grandma is having breast cancer radiation, it will not hurt the baby.  No radiation passes from the treated person to anyone else.  There are some types of radiation where the radioactive substance is put in the body, and that might be a different situation.  However, those methods are not usually used for breast cancer.

I'm sure her grandma will be thrilled to see and hold the baby.
