How did you handle the emotional side of loosing your breasts ?

I have been diagnosed with DCIS, multifocal in the right breast (by lumpectomy).  At my 6th month check the MRI found a small mass in my left breast.  I am scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy on June 18.  I have seen alot of questions on the physical recovery, but how did you handle…
