My question is what makes them appear on the breast and why do they come back. I have had mamograms and there is no cancer but the boils keep coming back. Please help Its affect my love life and it prohibits me from working and doing task to take care of my children because it becomes to painful to move my arm or even my entire left side because the pain is so bad. Tamega, you may have a condition called hidradenitis suppurativa. It's a skin condition, somewhat related to acne, that causes you to have an array of issues like pimples and painful boils in areas where there are oil glands/hair follicles (esp. the groin and armpit), or where you skin rubs against itself (like your breasts). Please read this article on hidradenitis suppurativa. And perhaps mention it to the doctor, to see if that might be the diagnosis. If so, it may be treatable with antibiotics. Hope this helps you out — PJH
