Reshma, a high white blood cell count during chemo might be the result of an allergy, an infection, or something else systemic. There must be a reason you were advised to have chemo, despite no lymph node involvement. Perhaps you have an aggressive form of cancer? Sounds like you need to ask your doctor these questions, as (s)he would be in a much better position to answer them, knowing the complete details of your case. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor; (s)he wants to help you. Good luck - PJH
