Gosh, Danielle, it could be an infection, a swollen milk duct.. all kinds of things. In general, breast cancer lumps are painless. But you should get this looked at to figure out what it is—if it's an infeciton, you'll want to get it taken care of ASAP. I'd say call and make a doctor's appointment. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon. - PJH
First of all, what are you waiting for, Honey? Get a Doctor appointment TODAY! Tell them about your lump. Any Dr. worth his/her salt will work you in immediately.
DON'T PANIC! It could be something as simple as an inflammed milk duct. Don't expect the worst.
Now, "gather yourself up" and go get on the phone for that appointment. Let me know the outcome.
Jan (2 time breast cancer survivor)
