how can you tell the difference between milk glands and lumps I have a lump that has been there for months. My doctor thought it was a milk gland but I'm not sure. I go in tomorrow to get it checked again

Hi - Please read our breast lump FAQS for lots of good information about the different types of breast lumps. In general, a milk gland would be softer, and moveable; an abnormal lump would be firmer, and fairly immobile. Ask your doctor tomorrow for more tips on what you should be feeling for when you do a breast self exam, OK? Good luck - PJH
