Hi Kathy - A burning sensation in your breast can be the result of many different issues, the vast majority of which are NOT breast cancer. Please read our Guide to Breast Pain; that should be a help to you as you decide whether or not to call the doctor. Good luck - PJH

Julia, see if this goes away by itself in a few days. If not - or if it gets worse - best to see a doctor and figure out what it is, OK? Good luck - PJH
