Q: I had found a lump under my armpit. I went to the doctor she told me it was a 1 to 2 inch lump

Hi - This could indeed be cancer, but it's more likely it's any one of a number of other things, including a fibroadenoma, an infection... You're doing the right thing, getting tested to see what this is. While you're waiting for results, please read our post on armpit lumps; I think you'll find it useful. Good luck - PJH

I just had one in my armpit removed today and it was 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. I will find out in a week what it is. Did you find out what yours was yet?

Kristi, Seed wrote her question a year ago, so she may not see your note. You could send her a private message by clicking on her name. In the meantime, I'm sure you are anxious to find out exactly what this lump is. Keep in mind that the vast majority of lumps that need to be biopsied are not cancer, so try to stay calm and busy until you get the results back from the doctor. Let us hear what you find out.
