Hi Everyone,

I am back again to ask questions.. I had my 1st chemo last Oct 15 (FEC-D) and its 12 days after my chemo.. everything is well with me.. I still have my hair no mouth sores except my gums is aching maybe because I brush sooo hardYellthat it hurts my gums .. I used Biotane and it works everytime I eat I do my mouthwash w/c helps me without mouth sores.. one of my question is that I have a good appetite' I eat good.. Is it ok .. I love to eat sour food like green mangoes? I put salt in my strawberry, peaches, and some other fruits???Surprised ( I remember that when I was pregnant 35 years ago?? I love to eat, eat.. Is there a problem with after my chemo?? and the 2nd one now after 12 days I feel

a bit dizzy??  Is that means I have low blood?? white or red blood cell?? I am going to see my oncologist 1st week of November and then my next chemo will be 5th of Nov. what are the things to do or eat to make my blood cells normal both white and red blood.. >

thanks sooo much for all your help.. more power to this site..

Hi - First thing you can do for yourself is STOP brushing your teeth so hard - your gums will be getting more and more sensitive, and you don't want to injure them. Brush your teeth - but gently, gently... Are you taking Neulasta? Many women take that to maintain their white cell count. If not, your best defense is to stay away from crowds, and don't put yourself in "germy" situations, e.g., the hot tub at the gym, a classroom full of sniffling 2nd-graders... stuff like that. Eat whatever tastes good to you; though you might want to start laying off the ultra-spicy foods in advance, to help ward off those mouth sores. Beyond that, simply eat healthy: fruits, vegetables, low-fat protein, whole grains... the usual healthy diet. Good luck - PJH
