MRM was done on 12th august2008.fluid is still draing out from body. the drainage tube was removed after 10 days.wound is not healing properly.antibiotic was stopped after 15 days.Please examine and suggest.
I want to know, what are the problemsthat a woman of age 71 face after MRM of right breast and how to tackle them.and how long letrozole 2.5mg will have to be taken.
Shambhu, I believe I suggested earlier that the patient (you? your mom?) speak to her doctor about the drainage issue. Only the doctor can assess what's going on; it needs to be done in person, not via the Internet. As for ongoing problems, I hope the patient will be able to get physical therapy to restore the range of motion in her arm on the mastectomy side. This is probably the best thing she can do for herself at this point. Other than that - time heals. The wound will heal, the scars will fade, and she'll go on with her life. Good luck - PJH
