Hi Victoria - If the cancer has traveled to her bones, it's now stage 4 and will have to be managed with chemo indefinitely. Luckily, a spread to the bones is more treatable than metastasis to other areas, like liver or brain. Many women with stage 4 cancer with bone metastasis live many years, with treatment. Each woman's case and treatment is different, so there's no "survival rate." But hope for the best, and be a good friend to her as she goes through this; that's the best thing you can do. PJH
