Q: I had a mammogram done last yea r and it said BIRADS 2. The year before it was BIRADS 1.

Is there reason to be concerned about the change?

Hi Dorothy: BI-RADS 1 and 2 are both considered benign, so that's good. In BI-RADS 2, the radiologist is simply providing a more detailed report of normal, benign breast tissue and/or lesions than was given in BI-RADS 1. Hope this helps. Good luck - PJH
