Just Diagnosed with Cancer? Chat with Experts

Friday, September 03, 2010 Hannah P. asks

Q: I'm in my third round of CMF chemo. No hair loss so I'm very thankful. Is there a safe color rinse to use to cover grey while undergoing this type of chemo?

Hannah, any checmical that goes in or on your body during chemo should be run past your oncologist first. There are so many possible interactions, and the last thing you want to do is affect how the chemo is working. So pick out a rinse, and ask you doctor (or more likely, his/her nurse) if it's OK to use. Best of luck with the rest of your treatment - PJH
