Inverted Nipple: Scar Tissue from Mastitis or Breast Cancer?

This past summer I noticed an inverted nipple on my left breast. I have had a mammogram and ultrasound which both seemed fine. While earlier this year the nipple seemed to be intermittenly inverted, it now seems to be a constant thing. I have made a follow-up appointment. Could this be scar tissue…
