Markers are tricky - many doctors don't place much faith in them, as they can rise when there's cancer someplace - but can also rise for no apparent reason. I have several friends who've sweated out a raise in their tumor markers, only to see them go down again with a couple of months. So, be concerned enough to follow up, but please don't panic; this may be just a false alarm. Take care - PJH
