I was dx in March of 2007 and I was hit with the recurrance in May 2008. I had the 9th taxol and herc. in 17November-last Monday. My oncologist say that we will carry on taxol and herc. untill taxol stops responding to my tumors and carry on with herc untill it develops resistance to it. But I am very anxious, my liver and lungs aren't clean completely. The metastas 2.5 and 1.5 cm in my liver . In my lungs there are multiple metastasis in parankim area,the largest of ıt is 6 mm at last If it is so , how herc works well all alone. Should I speak to a radyology oncolog?

Esra, you can ask your primary oncologist to set you up with someone for a second opinion, if you're not happy with the treatment (s)he's recommending. But I'm wondering why you don't trust him/her. What (s)he's recommending sounds like pretty standard treatment for metastatic breast cancer... You could ask to speak to a radiaiton oncologist, sure, but I'm betting that person would simply refer you back to your primary oncologist. Sorry that you've had this set back- I hope you find the Taxol/Herceptin keep things at bay. Good luck - PJH
