Lisa Marie, did they give you the results of the biopsy? Did they say you have calcifications, perhaps? Or did they tell you you have cancer, and need further treatment? If you have a specific question about any of this, please ask; and don't worry about your spelling, it's not important AT ALL. Hope to hear back from you - PJH

Do you know what kind of surgery you're having? Is it a surgical biopsy of one particular place? Usually calcifications aren't removed, unless they've found cancer.

Would it be possible for you to find out why they're doing the surgery, and what they're removing? It seems like this would be important information; you'd at least want to know the purpose of the surgery going in. If you feel your surgeon hasn't explained what's going on thoroughly enough, you can turn to the hospital's social workers for help; that's what they're there for, to help with communication between doctor and patient, among other things. "Knowledge is power," as they say. You want to be as informed as possible about your treatment, as you may need to be making some decisions depending on what the surgry finds. Good luck - PJH
