Hi i've had yellowy sometimes clear discharge coming out of my both breasts but mainly the right one

It isn't caused by pregnancy as i have ruled that possibility out. I can feel little lumps and when i apply pressure to my breast discharge comes out. It's not sensitive but when pressure is applied it does hurt. Most of the little lumps are around the areola of the breast. Can you shed a bit of insight as to what it may be?

Hi Remo: Breast discharge is quite common, and the vast majority of the time it has nothing to do with cancer. Here's a great explanation of nipple discharge. Hope it helps you out- PJH

Hi Remo, Are you breast-feeding? What you describe sounds a bit liked blocked milk ducts. The discharge could be caused by hormonal changes in your body (even if you are not pregnant). It would be wise to go and see your doctor. Breast lumps are not usually painful (and does not usually affect both breasts at the same time)but it is generally better to err on the side of caution.

Take care,

Laurie

Oops! I just noticed a typo in my answer. I meant to say that breast cancer is not usually painful and that lumps in the breasts can be caused by many things.
