THank you for your reply. Thing is I dont have many female membersof family to ask about medical history but I do have a daughterwho is 26. SO it would be good to know. I mentioned years ago many times to doctors should I be screeneda bit earlier and they didnt seem very interested.  In the back of my mind I guess I always feared I may get something similar. Im assuming she had DCIS as she had a milk gland removed after some kind of pre cancerous condition, i am only guessing it was DCIS. I remember going to Guys hospital with her and her relief when they told her it had all been taken away. As a young teenager I guess to wrapped up in my own life to take a lot of notce and my dad didnt seem slightly concerned.  I have a lot of male relatives who have died of cancer young, my dad his dad etc, etc but unsure if this has any bearing on me? I will keep you posted as to my progress Im off to Vegas with my friends this Fri before the op and intend to have a really good time there!! Then face whatever is coming my way on return.
