Q: breast lump, and inverted nipple

Hi I am 25. I ahd a son about 11 months ago. When he was about 2 months old my nipple went completely inverted. So I went to the doctor to check it out, and she found a lump in the same breast. She made me an ultra sound appointment, but it isnt until july 8th. I am very scared, Should I be worried

Hi - If my math is right, you went 9 months before seeing a doctor about your inverted nipple; and at that point she felt a lump? If I have the timeframe right, I think you should ask for a mammogram ASAP. Should you panic? Absolutely not. Should you be concerned enough to advocate for yourself, and get some diagnostic testing sooner than July 8? Yes. Breast cancer at your age is exceedingly rare, but it happens; you need to protect yourself buy ruling it out ASAP. Good luck - PJH
