I have been experiencing a strange bubbling or gurgling sensation in my left breast for several days. It does not hurt but is an unpleasant feeling. I have experienced the same thing about a year ago. It seems to be originating in the duct but there is nothing exuding from the nipple. I have also experienced a hot, flooding sensation that seems to progress from the center of the chest out to both breasts and around the diaphragm area. This does not happen at the same time as the first symptom but is happening in the same time frame. I am post menopausal >3 years, am 54 and diabetic (type 2). Breast cancer has been an unwelcome visitor a great deal in our family. My mom died at 34 from it. Could either of these sensations be a warning sign? Thanks for your help.
Suki, thankfully, neither of these sounds like a breast cancer symptom. However, it would probably be good to find out what these ARE a symptom of. Could be a hormonal thing; maybe even something to do with your heart, since part of it centers on the left side? I'd make an appointment with your doctor and see what (s)he says. And continue being diligent about breast changes, OK? Regular mammograms and noticing/reporting breast changes, at our age, is the best way to protect yourself from cancer. Good luck - PJH
