Hi Laura

When I first found my lump it was Jan 2005, I had a lumpectomy at the end of Fe (after spending V day getting a mammo - how fun, right?) Then on March 8th I had a mastectomy on the right side.  April I started 4 sessions of Chemo (Adriamycin and Cytoxan med combo) they were spaced 2 weeks about, so it lasted 2 mos.  Afterwards I started taking Femara (as I was post-menopausal.  I had a complete hysterectomy in Feb when i had the lumpectomy)  I stayed on the Femara till my Plastic Surgeon found suspicious scar tissue while he was swapping out my current tissue expanders for larger ones)  He removed the muscle/scar tissue (we called it scar tissue cause it was right near where he injected me with saline, but it was also near where my original tumor was)  So far I have only had surgery last week to remove the rest of the cancer in the chest wall - the surgeon called yesterday and we got clear margins!!  I expect tho go through radiation this summer, but no clue for how long and I'll probably do chemo to and a change up of meds since the Femara failed me.

Oh I also forgot that I got my 2nd mastectomy in June 2007 by my own choice to reduce risks - besides I had to get implants so I wanted a matching pair.

Hope this info helps you.  Let me know if you need more help!
