Q: I'm a 27 yr old that recently developed a bump on my nipple.

the bump was painful to the touch at first but now it is just there; I am worried that bump maybe something that i need checked out but i am not sure...the size has not changed it has been there for two weeks, I have other bumps on my nipples but this one just appeared...What should i do?

Hi Worried - Please don't stress over this. There's a very small chance the bump could signal a rare form of breast cancer - either Paget's disease, or inflammatory breast cancer. Chances are, it's neither. But as Ken says, you should see a doctor — though not on an emergency basis. Call and explain your symptom, say you're worried about inflammatory breast cancer, and have them schedule you in ASAP, same as if you had a sore throat or stomach pain. In other words, waiting a few days or a week is fine; waiting three months is not. Good luck - PJH

Call your doctor NOW and I mean NOW !! please please do it. My wife found her lumps, if she would have waited it would have spread so far she might not have made it.. please please do it. E-mail me at KenCecilia@Yahoo.com Id like to know what happens...Good luck..
