Hi Sylvester - Please don't worry too much about cancer. These symptoms don't sound at all like breast cancer, which would generally present in only one breast at a time. Also, breast cancer usually doesn't manifest itself as either burning pain, or general puffiness/swelling of the breast/armpit area. Whatever it is, I hope you get some relief soon. You're absolutely doing the right thing, going to a specialist. Good luck - PJH

Thank you so much for your reply. I know my mind is working over-time just now and I am getting anxious. It has been 6 days since I last saw my Doctor and I am beginning to panic about tomorrow. I have been trying to keep my worry hidden from my son and I have had too much time to think on my own of late.

Your kindness and consideration by replying to my evening of panic is much appreciated. x

Worry and fear are so painful, aren't they, Sylvester? Glad you're going to see a doctor tomorrow and hopefully you'll be able to rest easier after that. In the meantime, please read our post on fear - it may help comfort you. Peace - PJH

Hi again,

Saw the doctor and had a scan. He informed all is fine and that he would like to monitor my symptoms ( post hysterectomy hormonal )over the next few months and then offer me some help on treating them.

As I waited in the hospital for my appointment today your comforting words kept me strong. I feel very lucky to only have rheumatoid arthritis and hormonal breast discomfort and not breast cancer.

Thank you very much for your calming re-assurance. You are a very special person who gives up their time for others.

thank you again x
