Q: I have an area on my right breast that is painful and stings/burns when touched.

It is located on the right side of my right nipple and hurts badly when I push down and in to the left. It is only on my right breast and is not the normal swollen tenderness from menstation. This is a new feeling and has been going on for a week. There is no lump or discharge. I am 38. Should I be concerned?

Michelle, this could very well be hormonal, even if it feels different than you're used to. The usual procedure is to wait throughout one entire menstrual cycle, to see if the pain abates. If it doesn't, time to see a doctor. You could be experiencing fibrocystic change, or a painful cyst. Of course, if it gets worse - if your breast seems infected (red, hot, swollen, itchy); or if the pain intensifies and spreads, see a doctor ASAP, as you may be battling an infection. Good luck - PJH
