Mary Ann, invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common form of breast cancer. It could be very dangerous if not properly treated. Just how dangerous it is depends on the size of the tumor and other factors. Your doctor should schedule an appointment with you to explain your treatment options. Take someone with you because it is hard to absorb everything the doctor says.
