i'm 17. i'm not sure if what i feel is a lump or just a bump. i asked my friend what he thought it was and he asked his doctor sister and he told me that it was nothing serious. just some fatty tissue or something like that. my nipple hurts a little bit when i touch it and the bottom of my (right breast) areola is a little flaky. should i be worried?

Hi - Please read our Teen Guide to Breast Development. This will give you solid information about what's going on with your breasts. At your age, your chance of having breast cancer is 1 in 1 million; so I wouldn't worry about it overly much, OK? Not to say you couldn't be that 1 in a million; it's just very unlikely. If you're very stressed, you might want to see a doctor, simply to set your mind at ease. Good luck. PJH
