can laser treatment for breast scars cause breast tissue to grow or cause a lump?
i have had a double masectomy. i shouldn't have lumps , right?
Lucky, you could actually be feeling internal scar tissue, which is sometimes slow to develop and form. Not sure when you had the mastectomies... Or, you could be feeling a lump that should be looked at. Even after a mastectomy, a tumor can grow in your chest wall, or in some stray breast tissue left behind. If you have multiple lumps, then almost certainly it's not a recurrence. If just one very small, pea-like, hard lump, then you should take it more seriously. In either case, I'd check it out with your surgeon or oncolgist, see what (s)he has to say. Good luck - PJH
