I'm 22 can I get breast cancer? I notice yesterday that I have this small lump on my armpit. Its not painful unless i squeeze it. Could it be cancer? I'm not having any cold or anything.

Hi - At your age, breast cancer is extremely rare, so this lump is probably due to some other cause - especially since it's painful, as breast cancer tumors are seldom painful. Please read our post on armpit lumps for the information you need to help you decide whether/when to see a doctor about this. In the meantime - since it may be an infection, don't squeeze it, OK? Hope it goes away soon - and if it doesn't, or gets noticeably worse, please see a doctor. Good luck - PJH
